Born in Spain, 1963 // Lives in New York City
My paintings are visual poems that express moments through color and gesture.
For decades I have been studying how paint on a canvas can elicit experiences that are similar to how we visually and emotionally interact with different places, various sensations, and specific situations. Art has the capacity to transport us to new or old places, provide new experiences, and explore new dimensions. As an artist I am specially interested in creating a sense of moment in a painting that is meaningful, exceptional and enjoyable.
